Arjuna was born in the majestic Himalayas in India in the 80s and the journey towards his true calling began early. He spent his childhood growing up in Goa, the mecca of psy trance, where he saw the birth and evolution of this intriguing musical genre. Mesmerised by the Goa party culture, Arjuna started collecting Psytrance DATs and mini disks to fuel his obsession, and at the age of 19 he got his first opportunity behind the decks to play for a crowd, and since then there was no looking back.
Arjuna’s meeting with Giuseppe (Parvati Records) and Teo (Discovalley Records) a few years later was a pivotal moment in his journey as it gave his musical taste a new direction towards the deeper and more cutting edge psychedelic sounds.
It was only a matter of time before the inevitable happened and Arjuna took up music production, starting with experiments on a Playstation game called Music 2000. During this phase he spent countless hours observing friends and artists who worked at the legendary Discovalley Studio in the heart of Chapora, Goa. This inspired him to go deeper into more serious programming and production techniques on cubase.
After earning his stripes as a dj in Goa, Arjuna was signed by Parvati Records as a label DJ to represent what was back then an emerging and groundbreaking style of psytrance full of raw energy and attitude, something that strongly resonated with Arjuna. By then he had broken through into the global circuit and was regularly performing at parties and small festivals in and around Europe.
To further improve his music production knowledge, Arjuna took up an electronic music production course at S.A.E. and soon after that released his very first track on Parvati Records in 2007 as Acustic Reaktion, his first project name.
While growing as a producer, Arjuna continued to shake the dancefloors across the globe with powerful DJ sets full of sonic artillery by some of his favorite artists and friends Atriohm, Farebi Jalebi, Jahbo, Syntax Error, Dronebixie, Onkel Dunkel, Gidra, Encephalopaticys and many more.
The exposure continued to fuel his passion, motivation and hunger to grow as a producer and he dedicated most of his time in the first decade of 2000s to develop his own brand of psychedelic music. Together with his music partner at the time (Seb), he made his nest in the Discovalley Studio for a few years where his skills, knowledge and precision improved leaps and bounds. By 2010 he was finally ready with a full length live set and in 2015 he released his debut album Primal Contact – a mix of solo tracks and collaborations with artist friends from around the world. The album was really well received by the community and marked an important chapter in the evolution of psychedelic dance music, inspiring the generations to come. The album propelled his music career to new heights and made his dream of making a living out of his craft a sweet reality.
Arjuna continues to perform at all the main events around the world and is now a household name in the psychedelic trance community. Though he lives in Italy where he has his studio, he still spends most of the winter back in Goa, a place very close to his heart, a place that he still considers home and a place that continues to inspire his musical creations with its magical vibes.
